Now we all know that liberals are smarter than the rest of us. All of the really smart liberals say so. And it has recently become evident that they can see and hear things that the rest of us can’t. But liberal logic just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense sometimes.
Take Bill Maher. (Please). In a recent Larry King live interview, he informed us that Sarah Palin might be elected President someday, because we are a stupid country. Now here’s what I don’t understand. If we were a stupid country when George W. Bush was re-elected in 2004, and we’re a stupid country now because Sarah Palin might be elected in the future, were we also a stupid country on Nov. 4th, 2008? Did we stop off in the Reality Based Community to vote, while we were on our way from Jesusland to Cracker Nation?
In one particularly ludicrous display of the limberness of liberal logic, Joan Walsh seems to be trying to make the case that Obama has lost almost one third of his white support because they were either too stupid to know that Obama was a black man when they voted for him, or they were too stupid to know that they were racists and weren’t supposed to vote for a black man. Or something. I’m not sure what point she was trying to make, or if she was even trying to make one, other than to remind us that anyone and everyone who doesn’t worship at the altar of Obama is a stupid racist.
Now when the liberal logic is contradictory, it’s hard enough for a crazy evil moron like me to understand, but when it starts swinging like a pendulum, I’m completely flummoxed. We were told throughout the primaries, and right up until the election, that we are a racist nation. We were told that we were such a racist nation that we would never elect a black man as President right up until we did exactly that. But as soon as Obama started making decisions, people started questioning and criticizing him, and we were right back to being the same old racist nation that we’ve always been.
I don’t know for sure, but I suspect that I can’t understand liberal logic for the same reason that liberals can’t understand Sarah Palin. They don’t comprehend common sense, and I can’t accept hypocritical hyperbole as fact.
Palindemocrat, I am perplexed as well. Because if Barack Obama losing support among white voters indicates we have returned to our normal racist inclinations, then what does losing support among blacks indicate? According to two different polls in Georgia, Obama’s disapproval rating among the African-American community is 35 % and 38 %.

It’s just one state but those numbers indicate Obama is losing support from more than just the white community.
Good question. And one I haven’t seen an Obamacrat explanation for. But it would explain why only 12% think that the resistance to Obamacare is due to racism.
