the list of things that I have to be thankful for is pretty extensive. But one thing that isn’t on the list is any grattitude for Michelle Obama’s “sacrifice“.
The woman has lived high on the taxpayer hog for the better part of two years. The headlines on fashion magazines dub her “The new Jackie O” and “America’s fashion icon“, while she appears on their covers looking like she’s modeling Halloween costumes. I’ve lost count of the lavish vacations, and if pictures of her caboose are any indication, she ain’t practicing what she preaches in the diet department. Her children are left completely alone by the press, unlike the children of any President we’ve ever had, and that courtesy is extended to her family and friends. What, exactly, has she sacrificed?
Consider this an open thread. What are you not thankful for today?
On this Thanksgiving,

Hey P.D and a Thanksgiving Blessing to all …
I’m not thankful for -
1) Cold weather …( it’s a guy thing )
2) Presents LEFT outside by the dog … ( I swear he snickers )
3) Traffic lights at every intersection …
( That magically turn RED when I get there )
4) George Soros … ( spit )
5) A Rookie who chose to ignore our economic problems to force a Liberal agenda down our throats…
I don’t think #1 is a guy thing. Lots of us womenfolk don’t properly appreciate cold weather, either.
I have many things to be thankful for today but I’m not thankful for a corrupt press corps (or corpse – as the man-child in the WH would say). Because of them, the man-child got elected and, well, we’ve seen the results so far.
But this leads to something to be thankful for. The silent majority no longer trusts them anymore than they do the pols in D.C. Their influence is all but non-existent and that is a good thing.
I am thankful for many things as well. But I am not thankful for the politicians who lie, cheat, and steal and if they are caught at all, get away with just a slap on the wrist.
And I don’t like cold weather either.
Not thankful that Morning Joe Scarboro has suddenly turned on Sara Palin as though NBC Brass has threatened him with his salary or go negative on the Governor, accusing her of trashing Reagan for having played in “Bedtime for Bozo” and George Bush 41 as a “blue blood.” What’s up, Joe?
Rumor has it that a Bloomberg/Scarborough 2012 ticket has been discussed, although I find that one hard to swallow. But he is also associated with the new group calling for civility in politics. Mostly left wing effort, with a few token “conservatives”, most notably Mark McKinnon and Joe Scarborough.
I agree with that. And it would be a snoozer of a ticket.
